Systems & Services Limited was established in 1985 with the aim of supporting international enterprises in the implementation of works related to technical assistance at various engineering fields with major concentration in telecommunications. The company successfully conducted a number of projects for design and supervision works under the guidance of its foreign counterparts that allowed transfer of technology resulting in development of local expatriates. The outcome is the transformation of the company from a technical assistance team to a systems and network integration team.

MAJOR MILESTONE

Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board
1985 - Revaluation of Assets
This project was done in association with S.F. Ahmed & Co. Ltd. a reputed local financial consultant in Bangladesh to assess the total assets of Bangladesh Telegraph & Telephone Board throughout the country. The project includes extensive survey works for machinery and equipment as well as outside plant and other fixed and movable assets.
Lahmeyer International and British Teleconsult
1985 - Long-term Telecommunication Development Plan
Worked as the local associate of Lahmeyer International and British Teleconsult to develop a long-term plan for the telecommunication network of Banlgadesh Telegraph and Telephone Board. The project includes the expansion program for the switching and transmission network as well as related outside plant.
Korea Telecommunication Authority International
1986 - Cable Network Planning in Dhaka Multi-exchange Area
Worked as the local associate of the Korea Telecommunication Authority International for the outside plant network planning for the Dhaka Multi-exchange Area. In addition to the network planning the project also included demand forecasting where the company earned valuable experience in developing expertise in the commercial matters involved in the network design.
Nippon Engineering Consultants CO.Ltd
1988 - Greater Dhaka Telecommunications Improvement and Expansion Project
Worked as the local associate of the Nippon Telecommunications Consulting Co. Ltd. of Japan. The project was related to the introduction of digital telephone system in the PSTN of BTTB and expansion of Dhaka telephone exchange capacity through the implementation of 26,000 lines digital switching system including necessary ancillary equipment covering six exchange areas. The scope of works included engineering design services and preparation of tender document, evaluation of bids and preparation of bill of materials, supervision of installation, testing and commissioning works.
