The Tejas TJ1600 is an aggregation/core PTN platform which is targeted for deployment at aggregation and gateway locations in a packet transport network. TJ1600 is built around MPLS-TP technology and is best suited for telecom operators who would like to deploy packet switching based data services, while still retaining the SDH style operations, administration and provisioning model. TJ1600 supports all key SDH concepts like alarms, performance monitoring and NMS based provisioning on a pure packet network. It also supports legacy TDM services through circuit emulation.
Key applications of TJ1600 include 4G/LTE backhaul, enterprise Ethernet services, broadband and triple play infrastructure and enterprise services
